Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Final Candidate List to be Revealed Today After withdrawal process 9176 Nominations

Mumbai, 04 November 2024 : Anticipation across Maharashtra has reached its peak as voters eagerly await the final candidate list for the upcoming Assembly elections, set for November 20, 2024. In an unprecedented show of political participation, 10,900 nominations were submitted for the state’s 288 assembly seats. After a rigorous scrutiny process, the Election Commission approved 9,176 nominations, disqualified 1,640, and received 84 voluntary withdrawals as of November 3.

 

In high-profile constituencies like Mulund (Assembly Constituency 155) and Bhandup (Assembly Constituency 157), all eyes are on the candidates. Mulund initially saw 20 nominations, with 16 approved with four rejections, after scrutiny and 11 expected,  how will withdrawals today then after final list will be prepared. Bhandup’s 15 nominations were all accepted, leading to a lineup of 13 confirmed contenders after the withdrawal period.

 

Today, November 4, marks the last day for withdrawals, with a 3 PM deadline. The final candidate list will be published by this evening, allowing citizens across Maharashtra to see exactly who will represent their constituency on the ballot. Voters are especially keen to analyze candidate backgrounds, as the Election Commission has made each candidate’s full profile accessible online. This includes personal and financial details, criminal records, and any pending legal cases, providing transparency and empowering voters to make well-informed choices.

 

With the vote count scheduled for November 23, Maharashtra’s electorate is on the edge of its seat, ready to choose leaders who will shape the state’s future.

Mumbai, 31^st October 2024 : With the Maharashtra Assembly elections scheduled for 20^th November 2024, a record-breaking 10,900 nominations were submitted for the state’s 288 assembly seats. Following scrutiny, 9,180 nominations were approved with some multiple also, 1,640 were disqualified, and 80 were withdrawn as of today. 

In Mulund (Assembly Constituency 155), 20 nominations were filed. After scrutiny, 16 nominations were approved with some multiple also, with four rejections, leaving a final lineup of 11 candidates.

Similarly, Bhandup (Assembly Constituency 157) saw 15 nominations submitted. Notably, all were approved with some multiple also, establishing a final list of 13 candidates competing for this constituency. 

The final list of candidates will be published on November 5, 2024, once the withdrawal deadline, set for 4^th November 2024 till 3 PM.

This transparency is mandatory for any election nomination. Additionally, candidates must disclose any criminal cases or pending charges, giving voters the resources to make informed decisions about their representatives.

एम टी अग्रवाल रुग्णालय : ४०० कोटी ते १०००  कोटी रुपयांच्या सुपर स्पेशालिटी रूपांतरणाच्या मागे भ्रष्टाचार आणि विलंबाची कहाणी

 मुलुंडच्या एम टी अग्रवाल रुग्णालयाचे सुपर-स्पेशालिटी सुविधेत रूपांतर करण्याची प्रतीक्षेत असलेली योजना, “२० वर्षांच्या चर्चेनंतर आणि अडथळ्यांनंतर, हा प्रकल्प २०१८ मध्ये मंजूर करण्यात आला आणि २०१९ मध्ये सुरू झाला." अजूनही वाद आणि विलंबाच्या विळख्यात अडकलेली आहे. सुरुवातीला ४०० कोटी रुपयांच्या बजेटसह मंजूर करण्यात आलेला हा प्रकल्प आता १०००  कोटींवर पोहोचल्याची चर्चा आहे, ज्यामुळे भ्रष्टाचार आणि राजकीय हस्तक्षेपाचे मोठे प्रश्न उपस्थित होत आहेत.

 सततचा विलंब आणि भ्रष्टाचाराचे आरोप

 अनेक राजकीय नेते, स्थानिक प्रतिनिधी, वरिष्ठ प्रशासकीय अधिकारी आणि इतर महत्त्वाच्या व्यक्तींनी प्रकल्पाला चालना देण्यासाठी मोठ्या प्रमाणावर लाच घेतल्याच्या आरोपांचे वारे आहे. गरीब वर्गासाठी दर्जेदार आरोग्यसेवा देण्याच्या वचनाला पाठीमागे ठेवून, प्रकल्पाचे काम सहा वर्षांनंतरही अपूर्ण आहे, जे तीन वर्षांत पूर्ण होणे अपेक्षित होते. भ्रष्टाचारी कृत्यांमुळे वैद्यकीय उपकरणे कमी दर्जाची किंवा दोषपूर्ण असण्याची शक्यता आहे, ज्यामुळे रुग्णालयाचे आरोग्यसेवा देण्याचे उद्दिष्ट धोक्यात आले आहे.

 अनधिकृत व्यापारांचे केंद्रबिंदू

 रुग्णालयाचे काम अद्याप अपूर्ण असतानाही, परिसरात तंबाखू, सिगारेट्स आणि इतर अनधिकृत व्यवसाय जोर धरत आहेत. मागील लोकसभा निवडणुकीदरम्यानही हाच प्रकार दिसून आला होता आणि आता विधानसभेच्या निवडणुका जवळ आल्याने, हेच अनधिकृत व्यवसाय पुन्हा एकदा परिसर व्यापत आहेत, ज्यामुळे सार्वजनिक आरोग्य धोक्यात येत आहे. व्यंग म्हणजे, रुग्णालयाचे उद्घाटन होण्याआधीच कर्करोगाचे रुग्ण वाढतील आणि रुग्णालयाची खाटे भरतील, असे चित्र दिसत आहे.

 कारण निवडणुकीत सर्व विभागांचे अधिकारी निवडणुकीच्या कामात व्यस्त असतात, त्यामुळे कार्यवाही करणारे कोणच नसते, असे ते सांगतात. निवडणुकीच्या काळात हा फायदा घेतला जातो, आणि मग हे अनधिकृत व्यवसाय कायमस्वरूपी सुरू ठेवले जातात.

 याशिवाय, भारत गॅसच्या घरगुती आणि व्यावसायिक सिलिंडरची अनधिकृत डिलिव्हरी देखील रुग्णालयाच्या बाहेरील रस्त्यावर टेम्पोमध्ये गोडाऊन बनवून २०१८ पासून सुरू आहे. आशा प्रमाणे डिलिव्हरी कायद्याने पूर्णपणे बेकायदेशीर आहे. विशेष म्हणजे, या परिसरात घरकुल इमारतींचे वास्तव्य आहे, ज्यामुळे जर एकाही सिलिंडरचा अपघात झाला, तर जबाबदार कोण ठरणार? प्रशासनिक अधिकारी की राजकीय नेते?

 "विधानसभा निवडणुकीसाठी मतदान करताना शहाणे बना. कोणाला मतदान करायचे आहे याचा हजार वेळा विचार करा, पण मतदान करणे हा तुमचा हक्क आहे! भ्रष्ट नेत्यांनी दिलेल्या पिकनिकसाठी बाहेर पडू नका, पण मतदानासाठी नक्कीच बाहेर पडा. जर तुम्हाला खरंच तुमच्या आजूबाजूला बदल पाहायचा असेल, तर जबाबदार नागरिक बना."

 गरीबांना प्रत्यक्ष लाभ मिळेल का?

बीएमसीने अत्याधुनिक आरोग्य सेवा, एमआरआय, सीटी स्कॅन सुविधा, आयसीयू आणि न्यूरोसर्जरी व सांधे प्रत्यारोपणासारख्या अत्याधुनिक उपचारांचे आश्वासन दिले आहे, परंतु भ्रष्टाचार आणि कुप्रबंधनामुळे हा प्रकल्प फक्त धनदांडग्यांचा फायदा करण्याचे साधन ठरेल की खरंच गरीबांना मदत करेल, हे पाहणे बाकी आहे.

या प्रकारच्या प्रकल्पांवरील जनतेचा विश्वास कमी होत आहे कारण भ्रष्टाचार आणि विलंबाची समस्या मोठी बनली आहे. एम टी अग्रवाल रुग्णालयाचे रूपांतर गरीबांच्या सेवेसाठी होईल की मुंबईच्या आरोग्य व्यवस्थेतील भ्रष्टाचाराचे आणखी एक उदाहरण बनेल, हे वेळच सांगेल.

Important Update: Indian Railways Changes Reservation Period

Starting 1st November 2024, the advance booking period for train tickets will be reduced from 120 days to 60 days. This means passengers can now book tickets only 60 days before their journey.
