Maharashtra Gets Its First ‘Always-On Discount’ Retail Destination as Outlet Mall of India Unveiled in Mumbai

Mumbai, March 31, 2026:
In a significant boost to Maharashtra’s retail and lifestyle landscape, Bhumi World officially unveiled its ambitious project, Outlet Mall of India, during a grand property expo and launch event held at the iconic Taj Lands End. The development is poised to become the state’s first dedicated outlet mall, introducing a year-round discount shopping experience under the unique concept of “Always On Discount.”
Positioned as a game-changer for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), the Outlet Mall of India marks a major transformation for Bhiwandi—traditionally known as an industrial hub—into a rapidly emerging retail, leisure, and lifestyle destination.
The mall is designed as a next-generation “retailtainment” hub, bringing together over 150 national and global brands offering premium fashion and lifestyle products at discounted prices throughout the year. Renowned international labels such as Armani Exchange, Superdry, Lacoste, Levi’s, ASICS, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Jack & Jones and Vero Moda will anchor the retail mix across categories including apparel, footwear, accessories, and lifestyle products.
Beyond shopping, the project aims to redefine consumer engagement by integrating entertainment and experiential elements. A key highlight is a massive 2,500-seater open-air amphitheatre, envisioned to host live concerts, stand-up comedy shows, brand activations, and cultural events year-round. Adding to the vibrant ecosystem is a one-acre curated flea market featuring indie brands, pop-ups, and rotating experiences designed to attract repeat visitors.
Speaking at the launch, Prakash Patel said, “Outlet Mall of India represents the evolution of Bhiwandi into a vibrant retail and leisure destination, especially for the younger generation. Our vision is to create a premium, organised outlet platform offering immersive experiences, leading brands, and unmatched value throughout the year.”
The development also addresses a long-standing gap in organized dining infrastructure in the region. A dedicated ‘Food Avenue’ will feature a curated mix of quick-service restaurants, fine dining outlets, and six rooftop restaurants, creating a standalone culinary destination. The mall will also house a 25,000 sq. ft. flagship brewery—among the largest in Maharashtra—alongside a lively cluster of over 20 food trucks, delivering a festival-like dining experience.
Adding to its appeal, the Outlet Mall of India will offer state-of-the-art recreational facilities, including golfing and go-karting, making it a comprehensive lifestyle destination for families and young consumers alike.
Strategically located within the larger Bhumi World ecosystem, the project enjoys seamless connectivity to key infrastructure corridors such as the Samruddhi Mahamarg and the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. Its location along the Pune-Nashik Highway ensures easy access from major catchment areas including Thane, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai.
