Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: Record 10,900 Nominations Submitted, 9,180 Approved After Scrutiny
Mumbai, 31st October 2024 : With the Maharashtra Assembly elections scheduled for 20th November 2024, a record-breaking 10,900 nominations were submitted for the state’s 288 assembly seats. Following scrutiny, 9,180 nominations were approved with some multiple also, 1,640 were disqualified, and 80 were withdrawn as of today.
In Mulund (Assembly Constituency 155), 20 nominations were filed. After scrutiny, 16 nominations were approved with some multiple also, with four rejections, leaving a final lineup of 11 candidates.
Similarly, Bhandup (Assembly Constituency 157) saw 15 nominations submitted. Notably, all were approved with some multiple also, establishing a final list of 13 candidates competing for this constituency.
The final list of candidates will be published on November 5, 2024, once the withdrawal deadline, set for 4th November 2024 till 3 PM.

Additionally, candidates must disclose any criminal cases or pending charges, giving voters the resources to make informed decisions about their representatives.
The eagerly awaited vote count on 23rd
November 2024, will determine the composition of the new assembly and the
future direction of Maharashtra’s governance.
