Mumbai: A massive fire broke out suddenly on Thursday in a labor camp built within the premises of the Project Affected Persons (PAP) project located in Mulund East. Panic spread across the entire area as soon as the fire started. According to official information received from Crime PI Ajay Ghosalkar of the Navghar Police Station, there are currently no reports of any loss of life or injuries in this incident.

Fire Breaks Out in Ground-Plus-One (G+1) Structure

Police and investigation teams have confirmed that the fire broke out in a temporary tin-shed (corrugated sheet) labor camp with a Ground + 1 structure, built for workers on the Project Affected Persons (PAP) project. Many laborers and employees working on the PAP project reside in this camp.

Panic Due to Cylinder Explosions

At the time of the incident, domestic LPG cylinders kept in the rooms of the PAP project labor camp exploded, causing the fire to rapidly take on a terrifying form. According to local residents and police sources, a series of loud blasts from around four exploding cylinders were heard at the scene. It is reported that several cylinders were present in the camp. The fire spread over an area of approximately 100 meters, and the tin sheds were engulfed in raging flames.

Prompt Action by Fire Brigade and Navghar Police

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from Navghar Police Station and fire engines immediately rushed to the spot. They initiated relief and rescue operations after evacuating the area around the PAP project site. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze largely under control after grueling effort.

Reviewing the situation, Crime PI Ajay Ghosalkar of Navghar Police Station stated that cooling operations are being completed in the PAP project premises, and a detailed investigation into the exact cause of the fire is underway.

दुबई से तेल अवीव जा रही फ्लाईदुबई (Flydubai) की फ्लाइट FZ1073 में 34,000 फीट की ऊंचाई पर एक दिल दहला देने वाली घटना सामने आई। उड़ते विमान के कॉकपिट में सह-पायलट (को-पायलट) ने अचानक हमला कर दिया और प्लेन को तेजी से क्रैश करने की नीयत से नीचे की तरफ मोड़ दिया। इस बेहद गंभीर स्थिति में मुंबई के घाटकोपर निवासी और श्री ब्रह्मक्षत्रिय खत्री समाज के होनहार बेटे कैप्टन स्मित मच्छर ने अपने अदम्य साहस और समयसूचकता से न केवल हमलावर का सामना किया, बल्कि 174 से अधिक यात्रियों और चालक दल के सदस्यों की जान बचाई।

कॉकपिट में खौफनाक मोड़ और जांबाजी

उड़ान के दौरान जब बोइंग 737 जेट सऊदी अरब के हवाई क्षेत्र के ऊपर था, तब अचानक विमान में हलचल शुरू हो गई। सह-पायलट ने हिंसक हमला करते हुए कैप्टन स्मित को घायल कर दिया और नियंत्रण छीनकर प्लेन को तेजी से नीचे गिराने की कोशिश की।

खून से लथपथ होने के बावजूद कैप्टन स्मित मच्छर ने हार नहीं मानी। उन्होंने असाधारण हिम्मत दिखाते हुए कॉकपिट का दरवाजा अंदर से अनलॉक किया, जिससे अन्य क्रू मेंबर्स और सतर्क यात्रियों ने अंदर आकर हमलावर को काबू में कर लिया। इसके बाद इमरजेंसी प्रोटोकॉल का पालन करते हुए विमान को सऊदी अरब के तबूक एयरपोर्ट पर सुरक्षित इमरजेंसी लैंडिंग कराई गई।

Following a massive demonstration at Chaityabhumi in Dadar, Mumbai Congress has intensified its campaign, launching district-wide protests across Mumbai to demand the resignation and arrest of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. As part of this drive, the Mumbai North East District Congress Committee organized a strong protest outside Mulund Railway Station, opposite Deepak Hotel, on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

Slogans Raised to Save Democracy

During the protest in Mulund, Congress leaders and activists raised intense slogans against CEC Gyanesh Kumar. Demonstrators directly accused the Election Commission of enabling "Vote Chori" (vote theft) and imposing arbitrary conditions on voters under pressure from the central Modi-Shah government, thereby undermining electoral transparency and threatening India's democracy. Activists urged citizens to join the movement in large numbers to protect the Constitution of India and defend their democratic rights.

The demonstration was spearheaded by Mumbai North East District Congress President Ketan Shah. Key leaders and office-bearers from the Mumbai Pradesh Congress, North East District Congress, Women's Congress, Youth Congress, Seva Dal, NSUI, and various cells participated alongside numerous activists, carrying placards and banners.
