मिला। मुलुंड पुलिस स्टेशन के ठीक सामने स्थित, करीब 100 साल से भी ज्यादा पुराना एक
विशाल ऐतिहासिक पेड़ अचानक भरभराकर गिर गया। इस हादसे में कई गाड़ियां चकनाचूर हो
गईं और यह मुख्य सड़क पूरी तरह ब्लॉक हो गई।

actively being carried out at same plot - construction site. The developer
reportedly dug deep into the earth right next to the centenarian tree without
erecting mandatory shoring, retaining walls, or structural supports. Deprived
of its foundational soil and structural integrity, the massive tree simply gave
way.

Miraculous Escape: The Red Light That Saved Dozens of Lives
It
was a matter of pure, divine intervention that Mumbai is not mourning a massive
tragedy today. Moments before the tree collapsed, the traffic signal on N.S.
Road - regulating the flow from Mulund Railway Station toward the police
station - had turned red.
A
sea of commuters, public buses, and pedestrians were held back at the junction,
waiting for the light to change. Had that signal been green, the massive trunk
and canopy would have flattened moving traffic, undoubtedly resulting in severe
casualties and loss of life.

the tree smashed onto the empty stretch of road, crushing parked four-wheelers,

branches reached across the thoroughfare, damaging the facades of buildings
opposite the site.
