Mulund,
November 26, 2024: To commemorate the 26/11 terrorist attack and Constitution
Day, Mulund Police Station in association with Mulund Vidya Mandir School,
operated by The Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Mulund West, organized a special
event titled "Thank You Mumbai Police."
As part of
this annual initiative, students expressed their gratitude to the Police Force
through various activities. The RSP (Road Safety Patrol) girls’ wing performed
a march-past to honor the police. Students also participated in a collective
Constitution reading session, emphasizing the importance of the day.
The
programme opened up with a tribute to
the brave Police Officers who sacrificed their lives during the cowardly 26/11
terrorist attack. Student Arya Ukirade performed a solo act titled “Yes... I Am
Mumbai Police !!” which struck an emotional chord with the audience.
Students also
presented handcrafted greeting cards and heartfelt messages to the Mumbai
Police, showcasing their gratitude and respect. Additionally, the students sang
the “26/11 Tribute Song,” penned by Dr. Sandeep Mane, which filled the
atmosphere with a sense of patriotism.
Under the
guidance of the school’s president, Mr. Shashank Mhatre, this program is
organized annually to instill a sense of social responsibility and foster
respect for the police among students.
The event was
graced by Senior Police Inspector Shivaji Chavan, along with parents, teachers,
social workers, and journalists. In his brief speech, Inspector Chavan urged
the students to uphold the values of the Constitution and reminded everyone of
the sacrifices made by the police force.
The program
was thoughtfully planned and conducted by Dr. Sandeep Mane, while the vote of
thanks was delivered by Police Inspector Sambhaji Jadhav.
Following the
event, I, as a journalist, interacted with a few students to understand their
experience of performing at the police station. The students expressed their
pride and joy, with some saying, “It was an honor and a valuable learning
experience to connect with the police through this program.”
The “Thank You Mumbai Police” program served as an exemplary platform
to cultivate social awareness among students and express heartfelt gratitude
towards the dedicated efforts of the police force.

मुलुंड पश्चिम संचलित मुलुंड
विद्या मंदिर स्कूलतर्फे "थँक्यू मुंबई पोलीस" या विशेष उपक्रमाचे आयोजन
करण्यात आले.
दरवर्षीप्रमाणे शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांनी कृतज्ञता
व्यक्त करत पोलिसांना मानवंदना दिली. आरएसपी (रोड सेफ्टी पॅट्रोल) मुलींच्या
पथकाने पोलिसांसमोर संचलन सादर केले आणि संविधान वाचन करून संविधान दिनाचे महत्त्व
अधोरेखित केले.
कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात २६/११ च्या भ्याड हल्ल्यात शहीद
झालेल्या पोलीस अधिकाऱ्यांना श्रद्धांजली अर्पण करून करण्यात आली. विद्यार्थिनी
आर्या उकिरडे हिने "होय... मी मुंबई पोलीस बोलते" हा एकपात्री अभिनय
सादर केला, जो उपस्थितांसाठी
भावनिक अनुभव ठरला.
विद्यार्थ्यांनी पोलिसांसाठी स्वनिर्मित शुभेच्छा
संदेश व ग्रीटिंग कार्ड्स दिली, ज्यातून त्यांच्या
मनातील कृतज्ञतेचा ओलावा जाणवला. याशिवाय, विद्यार्थ्यांनी डॉ. संदीप माने यांच्या लेखणीतून तयार
केलेले “२६/११ श्रद्धांजली गीत” सादर केले, ज्याने उपस्थितांच्या मनात देशभक्तीची भावना जागवली.
शाळेच्या अध्यक्ष श्री. शशांक म्हात्रे यांच्या
मार्गदर्शनाने दरवर्षी हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित केला जातो, ज्यामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये सामाजिक बांधिलकी आणि
पोलिसांबद्दलचा आदर वाढावा यावर भर दिला जातो.
कार्यक्रमाला वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षक शिवाजी चव्हाण,
पालक, शिक्षक, समाजसेवक, आणि पत्रकार
मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते. शिवाजी चव्हाण साहेबांनी आपल्या भाषणातून
विद्यार्थ्यांना संविधानाच्या मूल्यांवर चालण्याचे आवाहन केले आणि पोलिसांच्या
त्यागाची आठवण करून दिली.
कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन आणि नियोजन डॉ. संदीप माने
यांनी अत्यंत कुशलतेने केले, तर आभार प्रदर्शन पोलीस
हवालदार संभाजी जाधव यांनी केले.
कार्यक्रमानंतर मी, पत्रकार म्हणून, काही विद्यार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधला.
कार्यक्रमाबद्दलच्या अनुभवाबाबत बोलताना विद्यार्थ्यांनी सांगितले की, “पोलीस ठाण्यात हा कार्यक्रम
सादर करणं हा खूप अभिमानाचा आणि शिकण्याचा अनुभव होता.” कही विद्यार्थियान्नी मी
पोलिस होणार असे ही सांगितले.
“थँक्यू मुंबई पोलीस” हा कार्यक्रम विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये
सामाजिक जाणीवा रुजवण्याबरोबरच पोलिसांच्या कार्याविषयी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त
करण्यासाठी एक आदर्श मंच ठरला.
