A
major fire broke out this Morning at Impulse Beauty Salon, located at Panch
Rasta in Mulund West, behind Kirti Mahal Veg Restaurant and directly below Lav
Kush Hospital.
The
blaze, which originated on the ground floor premises of the salon, triggered
immediate panic in the busy locality. Thick smoke quickly engulfed the
building, prompting emergency evacuation measures, particularly at the hospital
situated above.
Hospital
staff acted swiftly to ensure patient safety, shifting admitted individuals to
safer areas within the facility as a precautionary measure after smoke began
rising upwards. Officials confirmed that, as of now, no casualties or injuries
have been reported.
Multiple
fire brigade units reached the scene within minutes and launched an intensive
firefighting and rescue operation. Firefighters are currently working to
contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent establishments in
the densely packed commercial-residential zone.
A
senior fire officer on-site stated that the exact cause of the fire will only
be determined after the completion of rescue operations and a detailed
investigation.
Meanwhile,
Mulund Police have also reached the location and coordinated with utility
agencies. Officials from BMC, Electricity and Mahanagar Gas Limited have been
called in to shut down power and gas lines in the vicinity to ensure the safety
of rescue personnel and prevent any secondary hazards.
The
area has been cordoned off, and authorities have urged citizens to avoid the
vicinity to allow uninterrupted emergency response.
