Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh Passes Away at 92; Nation Mourns the Loss of an Iconic Leader

 Mumbai : Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India and the architect of the country's economic liberalization, passed away on Thursday at AIIMS Hospital, Delhi. He was 92. His demise marks the end of an era of visionary leadership and economic reform that reshaped the nation.

According to AIIMS, Dr. Singh was admitted after experiencing breathing difficulties and a sudden loss of consciousness at his residence earlier in the evening. Despite resuscitation attempts, he was declared dead at 9:51 PM. The Delhi Congress confirmed the tragic news, and condolences have poured in from across the country and the world.

A Legacy of Leadership and Reforms Born in 1932, Dr. Manmohan Singh began his career as an economist and rose to prominence as India’s Finance Minister in 1991. Tasked with steering the nation through a grave economic crisis, he introduced transformative reforms that opened India’s markets to the world, laying the foundation for its economic growth.
