Many people have alleged that the shop owners had already removed valuable items from the shop and left only junk. Subsequently, a fire was set in the shop after 12 am on January 2, 2025. People also claim that such incidents often occur to claim insurance and evade taxes.

 

Additionally, the owners of Silver Hardware & Laminates have been accused of illegal construction and encroachment. It is said that the building's exit has been illegally converted into a warehouse, and the BMC has demolished their illegal structures several times. Local residents have also accused the shop employees and owners of arrogance and intimidation. They claim that the employees and owners use extremely rude and aggressive language.

इसके अलावा, सिल्वर हार्डवेयर एंड लैमिनेट्स के मालिकों पर अवैध निर्माण और अतिक्रमण का भी आरोप है। बताया गया कि बिल्डिंग का बाहर जाने वाला रास्ता अवैध रूप से गोदाम में बदल दिया गया है और बीएमसी ने कई बार उनके अवैध ढांचे को गिराया है। दुकान के कर्मचारियों और मालिकों पर स्थानीय लोगों ने घमंड और दादागिरी का भी आरोप लगाया। उनका कहना है कि कर्मचारी और मालिक बेहद अभद्र और आक्रामक भाषा का प्रयोग करते हैं।

Kantilal Jain, of Silver Hardware and Laminates, stated that the fire began due to electric scooters kept for charging. He mentioned that a short circuit in the scooter batteries triggered the fire.

Half an hour after our news report was published, Dr. Suneet Singh from Aarti Scan Lab clarified that the fire did not originate from their lab's charging setup but rather from the Silver Hardware and Laminates shop. He substantiated this claim with video evidence recorded by his staff at the scene.

सिल्वर हार्डवेयर और लेमिनेट्स दुकान के कांतिलाल जैन ने बयान दिया था कि आग, लेब बलोके चार्जिंग के लिए रखे गए इलेक्ट्रिक स्कूटर्स से शुरू हुई। उन्होंने बताया कि स्कूटर्स की बैटरी में शॉर्ट सर्किट हुआ, जिससे आग भड़क गई।

Massive Fire at Mulund: Electric Bike Charging Mishap Causes Extensive Damage

 

Mumbai, Mulund West 3 Jan 2025 : A massive fire broke out this mid night one O’clock at Gala Manor, located on NS Road near Dhanwantari Hospital, Mulund West, after an “Electric Bike” kept for charging by the owner of Aarti Lab caught fire in the building’s compound.

 

The security guard of Silver Laminates was the first to notice the fire. He immediately tried contacting the owner of Aarti Lab, but there was no response. By the time further action could be taken, the flames had rapidly spread, engulfing the premises and causing severe damage to two shops Silver Hardware and Silver Laminates situated below the building.

 

The fire also destroyed four bikes and two cars parked in the compound. In response, three fire engines and three water tankers were immediately dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze.

Growing Concerns About Electric Bike Safety.

 

This incident adds to the growing list of fire accidents involving electric bikes across the country. While the push for electric vehicles (EVs) is a step toward sustainable transportation, frequent reports of EV fires are raising questions about the safety standards, research and development, and regulatory oversight of the electric bike manufacturing industry.

 

Every day, there are tragic stories of electric bike fires leading to property destruction and, in some cases, the loss of lives. It begs the question: Why has the Indian government not taken stricter action against manufacturers to ensure the safety of their products?

Massive Fire in Bhandup's Khindpada Industrial Slum, No Casualties Reported

 
Bhandup, December 3, 2024: A massive fire broke out near the Mulund-Goregaon Link Road in the Khindpada area of Bhandup on the evening of December 2, 2024, around 6:00 PM. The fire engulfed a large industrial slum involved in remanufacturing activities. The blaze originated near a bridge in an area filled with flammable materials such as plastic, industrial and chemical waste, discarded furniture, garage scrap, and leftover bakery waste. A towering column of black smoke from the fire was visible from a distance, as seen in this video.
 
Firefighters promptly reached the site and controlled the fire before it could spread further. Fortunately, there were no casualties or damage to industrial units.
 
However, this is not the first such incident in the area. Frequent fires have raised concerns about negligence by local authorities and residents. Allegations suggest that the Solid Waste Management Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) "S Ward" has failed to timely remove waste, allowing piles of flammable materials to accumulate and pose fire hazards.
 
Additionally, local industries have been accused of carelessly disposing of and burning hazardous chemical waste, further increasing the risk of fires. Residents have also been observed engaging in unsafe activities, such as smoking near highly flammable waste.

Residents are demanding strict action against those responsible for poor waste management and negligence to prevent such incidents in the future. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.

भांडुप, ३ डिसेंबर २०२४ : २ डिसेंबर २०२४ संध्याकाळी सुमारे ६:०० वाजता भांडुपच्या खिंडपाडा परिसरातील मुलुंड-गोरेगाव लिंक रोडजवळ प्रचंड आग लागली. या आगीने पुनर्विनिर्मिती कार्यात गुंतलेल्या मोठ्या औद्योगिक झोपडपट्टीला कवेत घेतले. एका पुलाजवळ, प्लास्टिक, औद्योगिक व रासायनिक कचरा, टाकाऊ फर्निचर, गॅरेजचा स्क्रॅप आणि बेकरीचा उरलेला कचरा यांसारख्या ज्वलनशील वस्तूंनी भरलेल्या भागात ही आग लागली. आगीमुळे निर्माण झालेला काळ्या धुराचा प्रचंड स्तंभ दूरवरून दिसत होता ते आपण ह्या विडिओ मार्फ़त बघू शकता.
 
अग्निशमन दलाच्या पथकांनी तात्काळ घटनास्थळी धाव घेतली आणि आग मोठ्या प्रमाणावर पसरू न देता ती नियंत्रित केली. सुदैवाने, कोणतीही जीवितहानी किंवा औद्योगिक गाळ्यांचे नुकसान झालेले नाही.
मात्र, या ठिकाणी अशी घटना पहिल्यांदाच घडलेली नाही. वारंवार लागणाऱ्या आगींमुळे या परिसरातील रहिवासी आणि स्थानिक प्राधिकरणांकडून दुर्लक्ष झाल्याचा आरोप होत आहे. बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिकेचे (BMC) “एस वॉर्ड” चे घन कचरा विभाग द्वारे वेळेवर कचरा उचलण्यात अयशस्वी ठरत असून त्यामुळे ज्वलनशील वस्तूंचे ढीग आगीला निमंत्रण देत आहेत.
 
त्याशिवाय, स्थानिक उद्योगांवर धोकादायक रासायनिक कचऱ्याची निष्काळजीपणे विल्हेवाट लावणे आणि जाळणे यांसारख्या कृतींचा आरोप होत आहे. यामुळे आगीच्या घटनांचा धोका अधिकच वाढतो. तसेच, रहिवाशांनी अत्यंत ज्वलनशील कचऱ्याजवळ बिडी, सिगरेट ओढणे व अन्य असुरक्षित कृती करताना देखील पाहिले आहे.

भांडुप, 3 दिसंबर 2024: 2 दिसंबर 2024 की शाम करीब 6:00 बजे भांडुप के खिंडीपाड़ा इलाके में मुलुंड-गोरेगांव लिंक रोड के पास भीषण आग लग गई। इस आग ने पुनः विनिर्माण कार्य में लगी बड़ी औद्योगिक झोपड़पट्टी को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया। एक पुल के पास, प्लास्टिक, औद्योगिक और रासायनिक कचरा, बेकार फर्नीचर, गैराज का स्क्रैप और बेकरी का बचा हुआ कचरा जैसी ज्वलनशील चीजों से भरे इलाके में आग लगी। आग से उठता काले धुएं का बड़ा गुबार दूर से दिखाई दे रहा था, जिसे आप इस वीडियो के माध्यम से देख सकते हैं।

हालांकि, यह पहली बार नहीं है जब इस क्षेत्र में ऐसी घटना हुई है। बार-बार लगने वाली आग के कारण यहां के निवासियों और स्थानीय प्रशासन की लापरवाही पर सवाल उठाए जा रहे हैं। बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिका (BMC) के “एस वॉर्ड” का ठोस कचरा प्रबंधन विभाग समय पर कचरा उठाने में असफल हो रहा है, जिससे ज्वलनशील वस्तुओं के ढेर आग को आमंत्रित करते हैं।
 
इसके अलावा, स्थानीय उद्योगों पर खतरनाक रासायनिक कचरे का लापरवाही से निपटान और उसे जलाने जैसे आरोप लगाए जा रहे हैं, जिससे आग की घटनाओं का खतरा बढ़ जाता है। साथ ही, निवासियों को अत्यधिक ज्वलनशील कचरे के पास बीड़ी, सिगरेट पीते और अन्य असुरक्षित गतिविधियां करते हुए भी देखा गया है।
 
"मैंने इस समस्या पर अपने समाचार पत्र में कई बार खबरें दी हैं," "राजस्व विभाग और औद्योगिक क्षेत्र की लापरवाही के कारण इस इलाके में आग लगने का खतरा बढ़ता जा रहा है।"
 
नागरिकों ने कचरा प्रबंधन की समस्याओं का समाधान करने और ऐसी घटनाओं पर रोक लगाने के लिए जिम्मेदार व्यक्तियों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है। इस आग के सही कारण का पता लगाने के लिए जांच जारी है।

मुलुंड के विकास में अमूल्य योगदान देने वाले, कई सामाजिक और सांस्कृतिक संस्थाओं से जुड़े हुए, और "मुलुंड के इनसाइक्लोपीडिया" के नाम से प्रसिद्ध 86 वर्षीय पूर्व नगरसेवक श्री जगजीवन मुलजि तन्ना जी के निधन का समाचार अत्यंत दुःखद है।
श्री तन्ना जी मुलुंड के इतिहास और प्रगति के साक्षी और आधार थे। उनका ज्ञान, सेवा, और समर्पण पूरे क्षेत्र के लिए प्रेरणास्त्रोत था। उन्होंने अपने कार्यों से समाज को दिशा दी और पत्रकारों के लिए हमेशा मार्गदर्शक बने रहे।
ईश्वर से प्रार्थना है कि उनकी पुण्य आत्मा को शांति एवं सद्गति प्रदान करें और उनके परिवार व शुभचिंतकों को इस अपार दुःख को सहन करने की शक्ति दें।

“Thank You Mumbai Police” Programme Organized by Mulund Police Station and Mulund Vidya Mandir on 26/11 Remembrance Day and Constitution Day

Mulund, November 26, 2024: To commemorate the 26/11 terrorist attack and Constitution Day, Mulund Police Station in association with Mulund Vidya Mandir School, operated by The Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Mulund West, organized a special event titled "Thank You Mumbai Police."
As part of this annual initiative, students expressed their gratitude to the Police Force through various activities. The RSP (Road Safety Patrol) girls’ wing performed a march-past to honor the police. Students also participated in a collective Constitution reading session, emphasizing the importance of the day.
The programme  opened up with a tribute to the brave Police Officers who sacrificed their lives during the cowardly 26/11 terrorist attack. Student Arya Ukirade performed a solo act titled “Yes... I Am Mumbai Police !!” which struck an emotional chord with the audience.
Students also presented handcrafted greeting cards and heartfelt messages to the Mumbai Police, showcasing their gratitude and respect. Additionally, the students sang the “26/11 Tribute Song,” penned by Dr. Sandeep Mane, which filled the atmosphere with a sense of patriotism.
Under the guidance of the school’s president, Mr. Shashank Mhatre, this program is organized annually to instill a sense of social responsibility and foster respect for the police among students.
The event was graced by Senior Police Inspector Shivaji Chavan, along with parents, teachers, social workers, and journalists. In his brief speech, Inspector Chavan urged the students to uphold the values of the Constitution and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by the police force.
The program was thoughtfully planned and conducted by Dr. Sandeep Mane, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Police Inspector Sambhaji Jadhav.
Following the event, I, as a journalist, interacted with a few students to understand their experience of performing at the police station. The students expressed their pride and joy, with some saying, “It was an honor and a valuable learning experience to connect with the police through this program.”
The “Thank You Mumbai Police” program served as an exemplary platform to cultivate social awareness among students and express heartfelt gratitude towards the dedicated efforts of the police force.

मुलुंड, २६ नोव्हेंबर २०२४: मुंबईवर २६/११ च्या अतिरेकी हल्ल्याच्या स्मृतीदिवस व संविधान दिनानिमित्त मुलुंड पोलीस ठाणे आणि दी शिक्षण प्रसारक मंडळ, मुलुंड पश्चिम संचलित मुलुंड विद्या मंदिर स्कूलतर्फे "थँक्यू मुंबई पोलीस" या विशेष उपक्रमाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले.
 
दरवर्षीप्रमाणे शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांनी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करत पोलिसांना मानवंदना दिली. आरएसपी (रोड सेफ्टी पॅट्रोल) मुलींच्या पथकाने पोलिसांसमोर संचलन सादर केले आणि संविधान वाचन करून संविधान दिनाचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित केले.
 
कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात २६/११ च्या भ्याड हल्ल्यात शहीद झालेल्या पोलीस अधिकाऱ्यांना श्रद्धांजली अर्पण करून करण्यात आली. विद्यार्थिनी आर्या उकिरडे हिने "होय... मी मुंबई पोलीस बोलते" हा एकपात्री अभिनय सादर केला, जो उपस्थितांसाठी भावनिक अनुभव ठरला.
 
विद्यार्थ्यांनी पोलिसांसाठी स्वनिर्मित शुभेच्छा संदेश व ग्रीटिंग कार्ड्स दिली, ज्यातून त्यांच्या मनातील कृतज्ञतेचा ओलावा जाणवला. याशिवाय, विद्यार्थ्यांनी डॉ. संदीप माने यांच्या लेखणीतून तयार केलेले “२६/११ श्रद्धांजली गीत” सादर केले, ज्याने उपस्थितांच्या मनात देशभक्तीची भावना जागवली.
 
शाळेच्या अध्यक्ष श्री. शशांक म्हात्रे यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाने दरवर्षी हा कार्यक्रम आयोजित केला जातो, ज्यामध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये सामाजिक बांधिलकी आणि पोलिसांबद्दलचा आदर वाढावा यावर भर दिला जातो.
 
कार्यक्रमाला वरिष्ठ पोलीस निरीक्षक शिवाजी चव्हाण, पालक, शिक्षक, समाजसेवक, आणि पत्रकार मोठ्या संख्येने उपस्थित होते. शिवाजी चव्हाण साहेबांनी आपल्या भाषणातून विद्यार्थ्यांना संविधानाच्या मूल्यांवर चालण्याचे आवाहन केले आणि पोलिसांच्या त्यागाची आठवण करून दिली.
 
कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन आणि नियोजन डॉ. संदीप माने यांनी अत्यंत कुशलतेने केले, तर आभार प्रदर्शन पोलीस हवालदार संभाजी जाधव यांनी केले.
कार्यक्रमानंतर मी, पत्रकार म्हणून, काही विद्यार्थ्यांशी संवाद साधला. कार्यक्रमाबद्दलच्या अनुभवाबाबत बोलताना विद्यार्थ्यांनी सांगितले की, “पोलीस ठाण्यात हा कार्यक्रम सादर करणं हा खूप अभिमानाचा आणि शिकण्याचा अनुभव होता.” कही विद्यार्थियान्नी मी पोलिस होणार असे ही सांगितले.
 
“थँक्यू मुंबई पोलीस” हा कार्यक्रम विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये सामाजिक जाणीवा रुजवण्याबरोबरच पोलिसांच्या कार्याविषयी कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करण्यासाठी एक आदर्श मंच ठरला.

२६/११/२००८ रोजी मुंबईवर झालेल्या भीषण दहशतवादी हल्ल्यात आपल्या प्राणांची आहुती देणाऱ्या निरपराध नागरिकांना आणि कर्तव्य बजावताना हौतात्म्य पत्करणाऱ्या शूर पोलिस अधिकारी व जवानांना आमची भावपूर्ण श्रद्धांजली.
