Important Update: Indian Railways Changes Reservation Period

Starting 1st November 2024, the advance booking period for train tickets will be reduced from 120 days to 60 days. This means passengers can now book tickets only 60 days before their journey. Bookings made before 31st October 2024 under the old 120-day rule will remain valid, and cancellations are allowed for those bookings.

There will be no change for some express trains like Taj Express and Gomti Express, and foreign tourists can still book up to 365 days in advance.

Runwal Anthurium Marks Grand 6th Navratri Utsav in 2024

 

Mulund West, Mumbai: The Runwal Anthurium Society on LBS Marg celebrated its 6th grand Navratri Utsav in 2024 with immense fervor and enthusiasm. The event brought together society members in a vibrant celebration of Devotion, Dance, Garba and Tradition, paying homage to Mataji through a variety of festive activities.
Throughout the nine days of Navratri, the society members actively participated in garba nights, devotional songs, and traditional rituals, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere. On the 10th day, Dussehra (Vijayadashami) was marked by the grand Ravana Dahan ceremony, which captivated the audience and reinforced the values of triumph of good over evil. The ceremony, held within the society’s premises, was a perfect culmination to the festive days and a symbol of religious and cultural unity.
 The celebration was thoughtfully organized by the society’s Cultural Committee, ensuring the success of the event. Special guest Nitin L. Maniar, a noted journalist, was invited by society member Shri Subhash Salaria to witness the joyous occasion.

मुंबई, मुलुंड वेस्ट: एलबीएस मार्ग स्थित रूनवाल एंथुरियम सोसाइटी ने 2024 में अपना 6वां भव्य नवरात्रि उत्सव धूमधाम से मनाया। इस आयोजन ने सोसाइटी के सभी सदस्यों को एक साथ लाकर भक्ति, नृत्य, गरबा  और परंपरा से भरपूर उत्सव मनाया, जहां देवीमाँ को समर्पित विभिन्न धार्मिक गतिविधियाँ हुईं।

नौ दिनों तक चले नवरात्रि उत्सव के दौरान, सोसाइटी के सदस्यों ने गरबा नाइट्स, भक्ति गीतों और पारंपरिक अनुष्ठानों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया, जिससे माहौल और भी आध्यात्मिक हो गया। 10वें दिन दशहरा (विजयादशमी) के अवसर पर भव्य रावण दहन का आयोजन किया गया, जिसने दर्शकों का मन मोह लिया और अच्छाई की बुराई पर जीत के मूल्य को मजबूती से स्थापित किया। सोसाइटी के परिसर में आयोजित इस समारोह ने उत्सव के दिनों का शानदार समापन किया और धार्मिक व सांस्कृतिक एकता का प्रतीक बना।

 यह उत्सव सोसाइटी की सांस्कृतिक समिति द्वारा सूझबूझ से आयोजित किया गया था, जिसने कार्यक्रम की सफलता सुनिश्चित की। विशेष अतिथि के रूप में पत्रकार नितिन एल. मणियार को सोसाइटी के सदस्य श्री सुभाष सलारिया द्वारा इस उल्लासपूर्ण अवसर का गवाह बनने के लिए आमंत्रित किया गया था।

મુલુંડ પશ્ચિમ, મુંબઈ: એલબીએસ માર્ગ પર સ્થિત રૂનવાલ એન્થુરિયમ સોસાયટીમાં 2024નો 6ઠ્ઠું નવરાત્રી ઉત્સવ ભવ્ય રીતે ઉજવાયો. આ ઉત્સવમાં સોસાયટીના સભ્યો એકત્ર થયા અને માતાજીના ભક્તિભાવથી ભરેલા વિવિધ કાર્યક્રમો દ્વારા આ પવિત્ર દિવસોની ઉજવણી કરી.

નવ દિવસ સુધી ચાલેલા નવરાત્રી મહોત્સવમાં સોસાયટીના સભ્યોએ ગરબા રાત્રી, ભજન-કીર્તન અને પરંપરાગત ધાર્મિક વિધિઓમાં ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો, જેને કારણે આખા મહોલમાં આધ્યાત્મિકતા છવાઈ ગઈ હતી. 10મા દિવસે દશેરા (વિજયાદશમી)ના દિવસે રાવણ દહનનો વિધિ યોજાયો, જેને શ્રદ્ધાળુઓએ ખૂબ જ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક નિહાળ્યો. સોસાયટીના આ ઉત્સવમાં ધર્મ અને સંસ્કૃતિના એકતાનું પ્રતિક જોવા મળ્યું.

मुलुंडचे सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते गोल्डी शर्मा यांचे हरवलेले पाकीट प्रामाणिक रिक्षा चालकाने परत केले.

मुलुंड, मुंबई: प्रामाणिकपणाचे उदाहरण दाखवत एका स्थानिक रिक्षाचालकाने, पांडुरंग पवार, मुलुंडचे सामाजिक कार्यकर्ते गोल्डी शर्मा यांचे हरवलेले पाकीट परत केले. हा प्रसंग तेव्हा घडला जेव्हा शर्मा आपल्या बुलेटवरून मुलुंड पूर्व ते पश्चिम बालधारप पुलावरून जात असताना, त्यांचे पाकीट त्यांच्या खिशातून पडले, याची त्यांना कल्पना नव्हती. एका व्यक्तीने पुलावर पडलेले पाकीट पाहिले आणि शर्मांना याची माहिती दिली. आपले पाकीट हरवलेले समजताच शर्मा त्वरित शोधायला गेले आणि मुलुंड पोलीस ठाण्यात तक्रार नोंदवायला आले. त्याच दरम्यान, शर्मांना एका अज्ञात क्रमांकावरून कॉल आला. हा कॉल पांडुरंग पवार यांचा होता, जो रिक्षाचालक आणि माथाळी कामगार होता. पवार यांनी पुलावर पाकीट सापडले होते. त्यांनी पाकीट उघडून पाहिले असता त्यात आधार कार्ड मिळाले, ज्यावर मोबाईल क्रमांक असल्यामुळे त्यांनी गोल्डी यांना कॉल करून पाकीट परत देण्याचे सांगितले. प्रामाणिकपणाचा आदर्श दाखवत, पांडुरंग पवार यांनी मुलुंड पोलीस ठाण्यात येऊन गोल्डी शर्मा यांना पाकीट परत दिले. त्यांच्या या प्रामाणिकतेचे स्थानिक नागरिक आणि पोलिसांनी कौतुक केले आहे, ज्यामुळे शहरात विश्वास आणि सद्गुणांचे उदाहरण समोर आले आहे. ही हृदयस्पर्शी घटना नागरिकांमधील प्रामाणिकपणा आणि सहकार्याचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित करते, जी आपल्याला रोजच्या जीवनात प्रामाणिकपणाचे महत्त्व समजावते.

 
 
Mulund Social Worker Goldy Sharma Recovers Lost Wallet with the Help of Honest Rickshaw Driver.
 
Mulund, Mumbai : In an act of honesty and goodwill, a local rickshaw driver, Pandurang Pawar, returned a lost wallet belonging to social worker Goldy Sharma. The incident occurred when Sharma was passing over the Baldharap Bridge from Mulund East to West on his bullet bike, unaware that his wallet had fallen out of his pocket. A passerby noticed the wallet on the bridge and alerted Sharma. Realizing the loss, Sharma immediately retraced his path and went to the Mulund Police Station to file a complaint. While at the station, Sharma received a call from an unknown number. It was Pandurang Pawar, a rickshaw driver and Mathadi worker, who had found the wallet on the bridge. Upon opening it, Pawar discovered Goldy's Aadhaar card, which contained his mobile number, allowing him to contact the social worker. In a display of integrity, Pawar brought the wallet to the police station and returned it to Goldy Sharma. The recovery of the wallet, thanks to Pawar's honesty, has been praised by the local community and police alike, showcasing a shining example of trust and good citizenship in the city. This heartwarming story of honesty and cooperation between citizens and the police reminds us of the importance of integrity in everyday life.
