मुंबई, 6 फरवरी 2025, मुलुंड (पश्चिम) के जनता विकास नगर में रहने वाले नागरिकों ने बीएमसी टी विभाग को ज्ञापन सौंपकर इलाके में फैली ड्रेनेज समस्या के कारण गंभीर स्वास्थ्य खतरे की ओर ध्यान आकर्षित किया है।

गंदे पानी में मल-मूत्र का बहाव शंकर निवास एसआरए को-ऑप हाउसिंग सोसायटी और कटलेश्वरी अपार्टमेंट की अनधिकृत और टूटी हुई ड्रेनेज लाइन से हो रहा है। यह गंदगी स्थानीय पेयजल पाइपलाइन के पास फैल रही है, जिससे पानी भरने की समस्या हो रही है। नागरिकों का आरोप है कि उन्हें वहिसे पानी भरने का उपयोग करना पड़ रहा है, जिससे गंभीर बीमारियां फैलने का खतरा बढ़ गया है।

स्थानीय निवासी गंभीर संकट में
ड्रेनेज पाइपलाइन के फटने के कारण इलाके में मलयुक्त पानी खुले में बह रहा है, जिससे चारों ओर भयंकर दुर्गंध फैली हुई है। कई स्थानीय निवासियों ने सांस लेने में दिक्कत और स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं की शिकायत की है। अगर समय रहते इस समस्या को नहीं सुलझाया गया, तो डेंगू, मलेरिया और जलजनित रोगों का खतरा मंडरा सकता है।

स्थानीय निवासियों की अपील
६ फरवरी २०२५ को ज्ञापन के माध्यम से सुरेश गयादीन यादव और अन्य नागरिकों ने बीएमसी से मांग की है कि अनधिकृत ड्रेनेज लाइन को तत्काल हटाकर वैकल्पिक समाधान किया जाए। उन्होंने अधिकारियों से जल्द मौके पर निरीक्षण कर कार्रवाई की अपील की है ताकि इलाके में रहने वाले लोग स्वस्थ और सुरक्षित जीवन जी सकें।

अब देखना होगा कि बीएमसी इस समस्या को कितनी जल्दी हल करती है। स्थानीय निवासियों को उम्मीद है कि जल्द ठोस कदम उठाए जाएंगे और उन्हें इस संकट से राहत मिलेगी।

Establishment and Vision
Mulund Vidya Mandir, established in 1957 by D.K. Mhatre Guruji (Damodar Kashinath Mhatre), stands as a beacon of education and inclusivity. Founded under The Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, the school was born during a time when Mulund was a small town with a modest population comprising both Marathi and Gujarati families. Starting in a small rented house, the school relocated multiple times due to a lack of space and funds. Acquisition of the School Land
The school’s current land was acquired for ₹10,000, a substantial amount at the time. It took nearly a decade to repay the cost, reflecting the financial struggles of the post-independence era. Yet, D.K. Mhatre Guruji remained committed to his mission. Importantly, he did not name the school after himself or his family, choosing instead to reflect the identity of the locality. Thus, Mulund Vidya Mandir was born-a name that continues to symbolize the spirit and culture of Mulund.

Renaming Ceremony and Milestones
On February 4, 2025, during the 95th birth anniversary of D.K. Mhatre Guruji, Mulund Vidya Mandir was officially renamed D.K. Mhatre (Guruji) Mulund Vidya Mandir. Unlike many renaming efforts that erase the original identity, this change preserved the existing name while adding D.K. Mhatre Guruji’s name-a testament to the family’s respect for his legacy and values.

On this occasion, the school’s auditorium was also named Sudha Mhatre Auditorium in recognition of Sudha Mhatre wife of Late D.K. Mhatre Guruji, who played an instrumental role in supporting the school while balancing family responsibilities. Her contributions alongside D.K. Mhatre Guruji laid a strong foundation for the institution’s growth.

Unveiling of the Busts
As part of the celebration, half-bust statues of D.K. Mhatre Guruji and Sudha Mhatre were unveiled, symbolizing their lasting influence on the school and community.

Mumbai: 65-Year-Old Woman’s Lone Battle Against Builder and Society Committee Corruption

Mumbai, February 1, 2025: A 65-year-old woman, Jayshreeben Dholi, is single-handedly fighting against alleged corruption in the Naveen Manju Co-operative Housing Society in Mulund West. In protest against corruption and irregularities, she staged a hunger strike on January 30, 2025, but no concrete action has been taken on her complaints so far.

The case is linked to alleged collusion between the builder, Square One Realty (Jignesh Kulin Gala), and the society committee at the housing society located at the Zawar Road – Sewaram Lalwani Road junction. The woman alleges massive irregularities in the society’s development projects and fund management, causing significant losses to residents.

આ સમારંભમાં સ્થાનિક નેતાઓ, ઉત્સાહિત શાળાના વિદ્યાર્થીઓ, નાગરિકો અને મુલુંડ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનના પ્રતિબદ્ધ સ્ટાફે ભાગ લીધો. કાર્યક્રમ સ્થળે સમુદાય સાથે જોડાણની ભાવના સાથે એકતાનું પરિબળ છલકાયું.
 
શ્રી વિનયકાંત મંગેશ સાગરે પોતાના પ્રવચનમાં ગણતંત્ર દિવસનું મહત્વ અને કાયદો અને વ્યવસ્થાને જાળવવામાં પોલીસ દળની ભૂમિકા વિશે વાત કરી. શ્રી મનોજ કોઠક અને શ્રી મિહિર કોરેચાએ પોલીસ કર્મચારીઓની નિષ્ઠાપૂર્વકની કામગીરી માટે આભાર વ્યક્ત કર્યો અને સમાજને એકતાની અપિલ કરી.
 
કાર્યક્રમની સમાપ્તિ સંવિધાનિક મૂલ્યો જાળવવાની પ્રતિજ્ઞા સાથે થઈ, ત્યારબાદ સમુદાય સાથે વાતચીત દ્વારા પોલીસ અને મુલુંડના નાગરિકો વચ્ચેના સંબંધો મજબૂત બનાવવામાં આવ્યા.
 
સિનિયર પોલીસ ઇન્સ્પેક્ટર શ્રી અજય રામદાસ જોશી અને તેમની ટીમે આ કાર્યક્રમની તમામ વ્યવસ્થા કરી અને કાર્યક્રમને સફળ બનાવવામાં મુખ્ય ભૂમિકા ભજવી.
