Resident & NGO become helping hand for an OWL……..

As the breeding season of Owls is over during this period, the young Owls often nesting in the blocks on the building drainage arrangement are barely able to fly. However, to escape the heat in the block, they suddenly try to fly out. Being new to the area and flying, they fall prey to the crows, cats or to other animals. Moreover, due to people's belief that an Owl found in there house is a bad omen, many end up hurting it says Nisha Subramanian Administrator PAWS-Mumbai

Recently the Gem Powai Vihar C.H.S. resident found such guest in there society and they call up the PAWS-Mumbai team who guided the resident how to catch the bird, the resident successes in rescuing the bird. "As such bird was new to us & we do not know how to handle such birds, but as per the guidance of PAWS-Mumbai Office, we successes in rescuing the Bird, and hand it over to PAWS-Mumbai Team" said Society Secretary S. Devishankar.

PAWS-Mumbai rescue team member Hussain Shaikh who reached the spot said "the Owl was not injured but it was afraid & was in dehydrate condition, after giving multivitamin drop & keeping for some time in safe place. It will release back in to natural habitat". PAWS-Mumbai Helpline : 2596 8314

Tribute to our Proud Cop of Bhandup Jaiwant Hament Patil









Jaiwant Hament Patil, a bhandup resident & Commando/ Body Guard of Additional Commissioner of Police Ashok Kamte was one of the cop who lost their live in saving civilians. Today at around 3 pm the body of one of our brave cop who lost his life was brought to his resident at Bhandup before taking to his native place, where thousands of resident including Bhandup Police, Local Political Party Leader and resident gather to give tribute.

No entry Express Highway for heavy vehicles



Now a day you can see long queue on Eastern Express Highway of heavy vehicle during morning time from 8 am to 11 pm & evening 5 pm to 8 pm, as per the talk with traffic police posted at site, they spot entering heavy vehicles who are coming in the city during peak hours on express highways to reduce the traffic on the highways & they have to park on the side of the road.

Shopkeeper died due to MNS thereat at Bhandup, Police registered the case & arrested some MNS activist.











On 21 October (Tuesday) after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackarey was arrested by Mumbai Police on 22 October (Wednesday) around 2pm a mob of at least 20-25 MNS activist armed with sticks started attacking shops at Tulsipada at Bhandup (West) to forcibly closedown the shops shutters, an shopkeeper Lalji Yadav (50) who sell vegetable, because of thereat, he suddenly collapsed, due to cardiac attack said other shop owners & residents.

Bhandup Senior Police Inspector Prakash Jadhav said "no injury marks were found on the body of Yadav & body was taken to Rajawadi Hospital for post-mortem. And we arrested 14 local MNS activist in this regards".

Sanjay Narupam Congress leader visited the victim home and meet the family members of the yadav and also the Senior Police Inspector Yadav, as the local resident clearly shown the photos & names of local MNS activist who attacked there shops. Sanjay Narupan demanded the police to book the people whose names were taken by local shop keeper under IPC 302.

Other leader like Krupashanker Singh President Mumbai Congress, Sanjay Patil Local MLC, Nasim Khan MLC & Suresh Koparkar Local Corporate were visited the sport and meet the family members of Yadav & promise the give financial help & do what ever they can possible to help the family member, as yadav was only earning member in home.
